Title This: WWE Smackdown Reaction “Tag Champs Main Event”

The Undercard

WWE Smackdown reactionBatista defeated Dolph Ziggler

This was a very good match to watch and the crowd reacted accordingly. Even though Ziggler continues to lose, he is in this small feud with Batista. This is good for him. Anytime Ziggler is on television, he delivers. His speed and athleticism actually helped Batista make sure he kept up.

Ziggler got plenty of offense in as well, including a beautiful hanging DDT. Ziggler clotheslines him into the crowd and throws him into the barricade. Oh yeah, this is No DQ. Ziggler showed more aggression and anger tonight than in quite some time. Batista finally got the upper hand when he slammed Ziggler's head off the steps. Batista side steps a Fameasser, as Ziggler's leg gets slammed off the steps. Batista takes advantage with a Batista Bomb for the win.

Like I said, this match worked because they let Ziggler do his thing. He sells, sometimes too much, but it benefitted a big guy like Batista. This was a very fun match to watch because of the pairing and the time they actually invested with these two guys over the past few weeks. I wouldn't mind seeing Rollins vs. Batista in a lengthy match like this.

The Funkadactyls defeated Nikki Bella and Eva Marie

Why does this not work for me? Well, who are the fans supposed to cheer for? Eva Marie seems to have natural heel heat. It could be because she cannot wrestle yet. It could also be because Naomi and Cameron are dancing and enjoying, but Nikki Bella is with John Cena in the show. So, WWE needs to figure out how to book this match without making mass confusion. If nobody really cares, should I write about it?

Bo Dallas Debuts

Yes, Dallas has already been on WWE TV, but his new gimmic debuts tonight. He beats Sin Cara in a decent match, nothing more. I think this gimmick could be really good for him, but I just worry about it being too cheesy. WWE fans are smarter than ever. Bo Dallas needs to be different than an annoying heel, one who thinks he is better than everyone else. What is he going to do to stand out from the rest of the pack?

Bo Dallas has one thing going for him: his lineage. He knows the business and knows how to act on camera. Will he succeed? It is WAY too soon to tell. I give it a thumbs sideways, even though Sin Cara was a bad choice of opponent. Give me a Zack Ryder or someone with personality.

Sheamus defeated Alberto Del Rio via disqualification

All I could think about here was, "wow, how far they have fallen." This is directly to Del Rio, who seems to be lost right now. He puts on good matches, but that is it. That does not carry you far in WWE anymore. With that being said, Cesaro comes out and attacks Sheamus. Perfect. Keep it simple and physical. You do not need Paul Heyman speaking the same words every week, even though he is great at doing that. Cesaro carved a piece of his personality on his own tonight. These two guys, although I dislike how Cesaro is being booked in this "level," will put on an entertaining and physical match at WWE Payback. It could steal the show, given the time and proper build.

-Adam Rose talks with Vickie Guerrero in the ring. Nothing much to note here. Adam Rose needs some change, already. It just seems like his segments and him talking are stale. I like the overall idea, but there needs to be some tweaking to his character and how he speaks.
