Title This: WWE Smackdown Reaction “The Wrong Talent on the Extreme Rules Card”

The Undercard

WWE Smackdown reactionThe Wyatt Family defeated The Uso's and Sheamus

Sheamus was in control for much of the match until Luke Harper and Erick Rowan really took over. Rowan hit a fallaway slam and Harper hit a few clotheslines and big boots. Finally, Sheamus makes a tag to Jimmy Uso. He cleans house and hits multiple kicks onto Harper. Jimmy hits a Samoan Drop and another kick, but Bray blindtagged himself in and hit Sister Abigail.

Excellent match with plenty of action for everyone to enjoy. Bray looks strong and picks up the win. My only problem is this: No Sheamus, Uso's, Harper or Rowan at Extreme Rules. Instead, we get Hornswoggle, El Torito, Xavier Woods, Alexander Rusev and R-Truth. How does this make any sense?

Score: 7/10

-Contract signing between El Torito and Hornswoggle. Vickie Guerrero makes short jokes and both men sign. Yeah, nobody really cares about this. Why? Just…why?

Rob Van Dam defeated Jack Swagger

This was too quick, too rushed. Swagger hits Cesaro, who was on the announce table. Cesaro grabs his leg, which lets RVD hit a 5 Star Frog Splash. Cesaro gets the better of RVD with a Neutralizer.

I wish the match went much longer, but they gave all three guys some spotlight for their Triple Threat Elimination match. I just wish they did not rush this because all three guys could use 10-15 minutes of television time to get their feud going even further. We should have had Heyman and Colter in the ring afterwards as well.

With this outcome tonight, I can see RVD picking up the win due to a Heyman/Colter interference, which will cost their clients.

Alexander Rusev's Feud Continues

I just do not understand this pairing. Rusev should be with someone important, someone that can help him get relevant. Do you want him to be taken seriously? Give him a Sheamus or Ziggler or Miz. All three of these guys are being wasted and not utilized. Rusev defeating a former world champion would do much more than two low card talents.

Again, I have no idea why WWE wants to put these three guys on a PPV, or "Special Event," card. If this is what WWE is going to do with Pay-Per-Views anymore, I am not interested in seeing it. Stop with the garbage fillers.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Damien Sandow (as Magnito)

Another random match on Smackdown, where burying Sandow is more important than actually building a feud for him. Also, Dolph Ziggler picks up the win with a ZigZag. I really think Dolph has a really interesting run left in him before his contract runs out, but will WWE utilize him to his fullest potential? I would not mind a heel Ziggler in a tag team against The Uso's. That division needs some fresh faces.
