Wrestlezone’s Top Ten: New WWE Network Features & Programs We Want Soon

#8 – Tough Enough

Vince McMahon announced the return of Tough Enough for a brand new series on the WWE Network this week during a conference call. No word yet on whether any of the judges from last season – "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Trish Stratus, Booker T and Bill DeMott  – plan on returning. With Billy Gunn currently working down in NXT as a trainer, I'd love to see him work with a bunch of newcomers. Trish still remains a good choice for female trainer, mostly for adding star power to the show, but Sara Del Rey is the current head of Divas in NXT, so she makes more sense.

file_272983_0_WWE_Tough_Enough_logoTough Enough is a great reality show that ultimately doesn't matter in the slightest. When WWE brought it back a few years ago, they did decent numbers on television and made a really fun, creative program, but in the end the season winner never debuted, and we got stuck with the first person eliminated. You may know her as WWE Diva Cameron of the Funkadactys, or Total Divas star Ariane Andrew, but before all that she was the laughing stock of Tough Enough, a girl who knew nothing about wrestling, and whose "favorite match" was Melina vs. Alicia Fox.

Like I said, it doesn't matter. You might get one or two people out of the show that eventually show up on the main roster. And hey, Cameron has turned into the lesser half of a decent gimmick. But since we're getting a new season of Tough Enough in the future, I'd like to see all the old seasons return for viewing. Other former Tough Enough contestants who made a name for themselves include Chris Nowinski, Josh Mathews, Maven, Nidia, Miss Jackie, current TNA star Kenny King, Matt Morgan, John Morrison, The Miz, and Ryback.
