Title This: Impact Wrestling Reaction “New Champion Means New Problems”

The Main Events

impact wrestling reactionDixie Carter comes out and talks to Eric Young. She cuts a promo about creating the beard and that other people are ripping her off. She says he is in her domain since she is the President of TNA. Eric Young says being around Dixie Carter will make him sick and she should get shipped back to Nashville. Eric Young says that he is going to warn her one time. Bully Ray comes out and says everyone is sick and tired of hearing her talk. Ray says he is here to take out the trash, pointing at Dixie. Dixie Carter says he double-crossed her and he says not to piss him off. The crowd chants Goodbye to Dixie.

Dixie tries to take credit for Daniel Bryan's success in WWE by creating Eric Young and his beard. Yes, you read that right. The best part about this segment was Bully Ray coming out and spitting the truth. I love his promos because they are genuine and real. He never sounds like he is speaking from a script. A new problem arises for Eric Young: who is his next opponent? Why would a face help a face here without showcasing some heel that should be helping Dixie.

Ethan Carter III and Rockstar Spud vs. Willow ends when Kurt Angle comes into the ring to stare down EC3. Angle hits a german suplex onto Carter and he retreats. Rockstar Spud needs to go. Sorry, but I have absolutely no interest in seeing him wrestle. Ethan Carter has an incredible look and a unique skill set. He has the strength and the smooth timing to work with pretty much anyone. You can tell by who TNA has paired him up with. Sting, Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle are three of the best TNA could pair him up with. Angle cuts a promo and says that this fight will not end until Carter is taken out in a body bag.

Gunner loses to Bobby Roode in a Tables Match. James Storm comes out to get more revenge onto Gunner. After a really touh and heavy brawl, Storm comes out and attacks Gunner. Bobby Roode hits an Attitude Adjustment through the table for the win. The feud continues, as Storm and Gunner seemingly cannot end their feud. Bully Ray comes out and makes the save for Gunner. Tag match is in the future with Beer Money coming together to take out their rivals. Two feuds in one segment is a really good call for TNA. They are fitting so much into one program, but it's not too much.

Eric Young defeated Abyss in Monster's Ball Match

We have seen this matcha few times before, so you knew what to expect. Abyss grabs Janice and misses a shot to Young. Young hits Abyss right in the crotch and grabs Janice. Abyss stops him and hits a chokeslam onto thumb tacks. Abyss grabs a barbed wire board and sets it in the ring. Young reverses it and bites Abyss' hand. He dropkicks Abyss onto the barbed wire and hits a flying elbow for the win. Young retains his championship and it is a feel good moment for him. Decent match with a few hardcore spots. They did not do too much or too little. It was a perfect blend of hardcore and actual old school wrestling. The only issue is who is next for Young? We needed to find a real contender tonight, but TNA did not provide us with one.
