Title This: Impact Wrestling Reaction “New Champion Means New Problems”

The Undercard

impact wrestling reactionMadison Rayne defeated Velvet Sky

Velvet Sky hits Madison Rayne with a baking sheet to really kick this match off. Love kicks Rayne in the back a few times and Sky tosses her into the steel steps. Rayne takes control with a trash can and finally is able to beat Sky in this street fight.

It was an okay match. Nothing special came out of this because it was Rayne hitting Love with weapons and that is it. There was not much flow to the match and more of a way to try and get the fans interested in Rayne vs. Love. Like I said, there is not much essence to it.

The Wolves defeated BroMans VIA Disqualification

The Wolves start out with some unique tag team skills. They send both guys to the outside and then hit suicide dives onto the outside. Robbie and Jesse work on their opponents by hitting some suplexes and elbow shots to Richards' neck. The Wolves head to the top and hit two stomps onto Robbie. DJ Zema hits them with a laptop and this match ends in a Disqualification.

This makes sense to me. The two best tag teams need a final "big" match for the straps. I can easily see a NO DQ to finally find a real winner. They are booking them for the long term, booking them intelligently. I like the idea of The Wolves continuing to chase the heels. Time after time, the faces get screwed over. It's booking 101.

– Austin Aries comes out and talks to MVP. He says that MVP has overlooked him and he will not fight MVP tonight. He calls MVP a convicted felon and will fight him next week.

So, what is the point of this match next week? Why can't they book or the long term? They give Young a quick championship change. They book MVP vs. Aries for next week, even though both men could carry a lengthy feud. This should be a PPV match, not a taped bout for next week.

Tigre Uno defeated Sanada in an exciting match. Both men keep the fast pace and Uno looked awesome. He hit a hurricanranna for a two count and Sanada hits a TKO for a two count. After more close pinfalls, Sanada heads to the top and lands on his feet. Tigre Uno drops Sanada on his head and hits an incredible corkscrew 450 splash to even the series 1-1. I enjoyed the match, even though they could've gone 20-25 minutes to make it more dramatic.
