Title This: 3/24 WWE Raw Reaction “WrestleMania XXX Card Shapes Up”

Josh Isenberg

The Undercard

wwe raw reactionChristian defeated Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus to become Number 1 Contender for the IC Title

The match started fast with all four guys getting some fast action on the others. Christian is working onto Ziggler in the ring until Ziggler punches him in the stomach. Sheamus gets in the ring and hits Christian a handful of times with high knees. Sheamus hits an Irish Curse backbreaker and chops to Del Rio's chest. Ziggler heads to the top and hits an X-Factor from the ropes onto Sheamus. Ziggler takes over and hits punches to Christian and a neckbreaker. Del Rio gets planted with an incredible DDT. Del Rio kicks out after two. Del Rio gets a two count after a kick and Sheamus locks in the Cloverleaf onto Del Rio. Sheamus hits a suplex and is ready for the Brogue Kick. Del Rio locks in the cross armbreaker and Sheamus powers out of it. Ziggler hits Zig Zag, but Christian comes in and connects with a Killswitch for the win.

Reaction: Excellent bout, which makes me think why WWE does not put a match like this on WrestleMania? Add Big E and put two other guys for the IC Title? It would make it much more meaningful and important on a HUGE stage. It seems logical and simple, doesn't it? Anyways, Christian winning was a surprise to me, but I like it. Big E needs a feud, albeit a small one, with a guy who can talk on the microphone and be a really good heel. The key word: heel.

Score: 8/10

Sin Cara defeated Damien Sandow

Quick match that ended with Cara hitting a Swanton Bomb.

Reaction: Seriously? What did Sandow do wrong to be pushed this far down the card? This is a complete joke and is a ridiculous way to book a very talented individual.

Score: 2/10

Cody Rhodes defeated Fandango

Fandango hits a few moves and some kick to Cody's stomach. Fandango hits a suplex and another 2 count. Cody fires back with some elbows and then connects with a missile dropkick. Goldust mocks Summer Rae on the outside and dances around her. Fandango gets distracted and Cody hits a Disaster Kick for the win.

Well, nothing crazy here to note besides a potential beginning of Summer Rae and Fandango splitting. Two weeks in a row, Summer Rae is more of the story than Fandango. I wish Cody and Goldust actually had something interesting for WrestleMania.

Score: 4/10
