Feb. 8, 2014

This week's episode of Ring of Honor TV will show a few matches from the recent "Wrestling's Finest" event in Pittsburgh.

BJ Whitmer & Jimmy Jacobs vs. Adrenaline RUSH

Prior the bell ringing, RUSH tries to agree to the Code of Honor, but Jacobs says they haven't earned the right to shake their hands. JJ locks up with Tadarius Thomas to get things started. Jacobs with a tilt-the-whirl headscissors, spinning them in circles, but TD cartwheels out of it and lands on his feet. Both teams tag out and ACH gets a kick to the back of Whitmer's head, but BJ shakes off a bulldog attempt and tags in Jimmy, who applies a blatant choke. They fight to the floor and ACH leaps over the top rope taking them both down. They fade to a commercial, but during the break Whitmer phsysically threw JJ into ACH with a big spear. Jacobs is in total control of ACH as they come back, and Roderick Strong has joined commentary to talk about The Decade. Thomas finally gets a hot tag for his team and hits Jacobs in the back of the head with a kick. Whitmer gets tossed to the outside, followed by Jimmy, and TD dives through the ropes onto both men. The Decade's numbers advantage becomes a bit too much for Thomas to handle, and Whitmer hits an assisted leg drop. TD out of nowhere with a half-nelson suplex, and ACH gets the tag and starts chopping everyone. He leaps through the ropes with a tilt-the-whirl DDT, but Jimmy breaks up the pin. Jacobs actually spears Thomas through the ropes and into the barricade; sick spot. ACH with a serious of near-falls, but Whitmer hits a huge uppercut. Whitmer and JJ hit the All Seeing Eye for the 1-2-3.

Mike's Thoughts: I love when they take live event matches and put them on their weekly TV product, because you know they're going to be awesome. My favorite tag team in indie wrestling today didn't quite pick up what would have been a big upset victory, but it was a great show from both sets of guys. The Decade got the semi-obvious win to keep the new faction strong. Strong still isn't wrestling after the Styles Clash from last week's show, but Whitmer and Jacobs are great on their own.
