Title This: Impact Wrestling Reaction January 30th, 2014 “Why MVP is Good For TNA”

The Undercard

impact wrestling reactionMadison Rayne and Velvet Sky defeated Gail Kim and Lai'D Tapa. The faces pick up the victory after a miscue from the champion and her partner. It looks like Sky will be getting a big push in the Knockouts Division because of her marketing ability and continued improvement in the ring. I have never LOVED Sky, but I have always admired how hard she works in the ring. She is not going to be a Gail Kim, but she is certainly deserving of getting a chance at the Knockouts Championship. The fact that she has her own clothing line,  as well as really pumping social media, makes her a valuable piece to a division that needs a jolt of energy.

Gunner and James Storm defeated Bad Influence. Before the match, Gunner and Storm cut some compelling and realistic promos. Gunner gets booed at first, but cheered after talking about his military service. Maybe that is a piece of Gunner that needs to be talked about more, especially if he is going to feud with Magnus in a few months. I really did not understand why they both split. Storm was mad Gunner got the briefcase? Seems childish and illogical. Maybe the jealously took over, but what does he have to be jealous about? Storm has done it all. Gunner should have been the jealous one. Anyways, the tag team match was really good, considering they weren't given much time to work. Gunner got a blind tag and hit a running knee and a headbutt onto on Kazarian to pick up the win. Is it me or does Daniels NEVER get pinned?

The BroMans vs. Eric Young and Abyss ended in No Contest. Let me first start off by saying how much I enjoy Robbie E and Jessie Godderz. It seems like they guys were meant to be in a tag team together. The little things that they do, taunt the referee and crowd, pump up each other and tease one another like a real "bromance" is really entertaining to watch. Robbie is MONEY. This guy has everything you want in a superstar and should be built up in the coming year. The match ended when Abyss "snapped" and took out the referee. This led Young to challenge Abyss to a Monster's Ball match next week. All I have to say is that this is SO much better than Joseph Park.

Score: 5/10

-Sam Shaw is creepy good in his vignette with Christy Hemme. I am not sure where this is going, but it is keeping me interesting and is pushing some dangerous limits. I am all for trying to create and experiment with an angle that seems to be more suited for professional wrestling 15 years ago.
