Title This: WWE Raw Reaction December 16th, 2013

The Main Events

WWE Raw Reaction– CM Punk cuts a promo in the ring about The Authority, saying that he wants to talk to Triple H man to man. Instead, Shawn Michaels comes out. Michaels and Punk talk about the events from a week ago, where Michaels hit Sweet Chin Music on Punk. Punk says he respects him a lot, which is why he's giving Shawn a pass. He says Shawn had better not kick him again, or he's getting kicked back. Michaels does such an excellent job at being a heel. It seems so organic and natural for him. I remind you this: the crowd was booing and chanting negatively at him in TEXAS. That should not be overlooked.

Grade: B+

The Shield defeated The Uso's and CM Punk. I expected this match to end the way that it did. Roman Reigns cost them their match a night ago. Tonight, he won it for them. The Uso's controlled most of the electric offense we would see. Whether it was a super kick or flying over the ropes to the outside, The Uso's did it all. I give so much credit to them for what they have been able to do over the past few months. They deserve the titles over anyone else right now. Punk hits a top rope elbow and Ambrose kicks out at two. Punk calls for a GTS but he prevents Rollins from running in, then he hits Ambrose with a GTS. After the GTS, Reigns runs him over with a massive spear. The Shield picks up the win. Excellent story telling and match outcome. It was needed for the stable. You can create dissension without splitting.

Grade: A-

Daniel Bryan defeated Randy Orton Via Disqualification. This was a fantastic match. WWE Raw delivered on so many levels. They may have forgotten about story progression with other feuds, but this was great. Daniel and Randy are so smooth and fluent in the ring. The Authority, oddly acting as faces, say Orton needs to be a fighting champion. Orton fought hard tonight and really had his hands full on all ends. Multiple kick outs were the main dramatic pieces of this match. We finally get to the end of the match. Daniel Bryan connects with dive to the outside. He hits a leg lariat against the barricade. Bryan would go up top and connect with a missile dropkick. Here come the kicks, but Orton low blows Bryan for the DQ. Orton begins to attack him and John Cena runs down. He checks on Bryan only to get an RKO for his troubles. I would not be surprised to see Bryan vs. Orton vs. Cena at Royal Rumble. If that happens, pencil in CM Punk for the Royal Rumble winner. I can see these four potentially battling at WrestleMania XXX, but time will tell where WWE wants to go with all of these pieces so early on the road to WrestleMania.
