Title This: 2013 WWE Survivor Series Reaction

title this: wwe survivor seriesMark Henry Returns

Ryback challenges anyone in the back to a match. This is answered by Mark Henry, who is returning from injury. His hair cut is fantastic. It really shows off how big of a guy Henry is. Ryback hits a suplex onto Henry. Ryback runs into a post and Henry is able to get back to his feet. Henry explodes and hits a cross body onto Ryback, followed by a World's Strongest Slam. Henry is victorious.

A few things: Mark Henry looks more intimidating as a bald monster. You can see his facial expressions a hell of a lot better, something that Henry has done his entire life. The match was slow, with a few big strikes from each guy. Henry is only going to get more comfortable in the ring with opponents that can test his speed and endurance. I am excited to see Henry return. Should he stay a face? I am not so sure.

Grade: B-… for the return.

John Cena Retains The World Heavyweight Championship

It took some time for the match to really take off. The crowd was electric in the very beginning of the match, chanting for and against John Cena. Alberto Del Rio really worked over the arm of John Cena. There were a few new moves that Cena executed and executed well. He hits a Tornado DDT and an inverted neckbreaker to take control. Cena looks leaner, quicker and faster. He keeps his biggest asset in the ring and that is his ridiculous strength. As Del Rio locks in his finisher, Cena lifts him up and plants him with a powerbomb. We get some back and forth action until Cena hits his usual moves and picks up the win.

Bitch all you want, but John Cena does so much for the company and always have the buzz of the crowd. He is getting better in the ring and continues to impress me. What does not impress me is how bland and boring Alberto Del Rio's character is. Can we just end this experiment with Del Rio? He would make a great mid card contender, but NOT a world champion. Let him wrestle and be excellent at that. Character development is something that has never been a plus for Del Rio.

Grade: B
