Title This: WWE Hell in a Cell Reaction

CM Punk defeated Ryback and Paul Heyman.

The cell was pretty much used only for Paul Heyman to be lifted up before the match. They did not use the steel and the cage nearly enough. Punk says he was going to beat Ryback all around the cage, every inch. That did not happen. The match was much slower than I expected and really was average at best. It will be a forgettable match for Punk's career, much like the one he had against The Undertaker. Anyways, Punk picks up the victory when he crashes Ryback through a table with an elbow drop. He hits GTS and heads up the cell to meet with Heyman. Isn't Heyman smarter than trapping himself on top of the cell? I thought it was clever at first and then thought that it made little sense. Punk beats the hell out of Heyman with a Kendo Stick and hits GTS as the match is over. This is a completely different era where a cell is irrelevant. It shows in matches like these.

Grade: B–

Los Matadores defeated The Real Americans.

It was nice to see a real match for the new tag teams. The giant swing is not as impressive when it is on somebody that weighs 200 pounds. Cesaro and Swagger pick up the unfortunate loss in a match that was used for the fans to grab some popcorn and a piss.

Grade: C-

John Cena defeated Alberto Del Rio to win the World Heavyweight Championship

The return of John Cena was a triumphant one. The match itself was what I expected, one that focused on the injury of Cena and was planned to be slow and mechanical. It was not a bad match and I feel that Del Rio is the best opponent to knock some of the rust Cena may have. Del Rio held his own in this match and Cena was able to show that he is stronger than ever and ready to go. After multiple reversals and pinfall attempts, Cena ducks a Cross Armbreaker and hits an Attitude Adjustment for the win. I was very surprised, almost shocked, that Sandow did not cash in. He should do it against Cena, a man that is very reputable and one that can get young guys over so easily. They missed on a golden opportunity, the opportunity to ruin the return of John Cena.
