WWE RawThe Undercard

Rob Van Dam defeated Alberto Del Rio in a rather quick match. Rob Van Dam and Alberto Del Rio have a pretty fluent chemistry together. The match was decent, but was not given enough time to top their bout previously. RVD used a bucket that Ricardo Rodriguez placed for Del Rio to use and got the win that. I am not sure why it was not considered a disqualification by the referee. Nonethless, Del Rio attacked Ricardo after the match. I thought this was the best decision WWE could do with Del Rio/Ricardo because Ricardo is too likable for people to take Del Rio seriously as a bad guys. Much like Armando Estrada did for Umaga, Ricardo does the same thing for Del Rio. When the crowd began to chant along with Armando, they took him away. Nobody likes Del Rio as a heel WITH Ricardo. It is completely illogical and this should be the last we see from Ricardo for a while.

Mark Henry defeated Ryback via Countout. Nothing happened here and was a waste for Henry, who should find himself battling off members of The Shield instead of being in a wasted segment with Ryback.

Grade: D

The Wyatt Family defeated Tons of Funk in a match very similar to the one they had on Smackdown two weeks ago. Luke Harper moves around the ring pretty well for a big guy, but I do feel that Bray needs to be the guy wrestling more. They cannot hold him off too long in the ring. He is head and shoulders better and more interesting that Harper and Rowan. After the match, Kane vs. Bray Wyatt in a "Ring of Fire" match is announced for SummerSlam. I loved the interaction with Kane, one who is mentally unstable and uses his words and actions to scare off his opponents. Bray Wyatt's reaction was GOLD. He cannot be a guy that fears anyone. He needs to be the guy that fears nobody and takes every challenge as a way for him to win people over to join him. I loved this interaction between the two competitors. How impressive has Bray been on the microphone and showcasing the little details that successful superstars need?

Grade: B

Layla defeated Kaitlyn in a quick bout that Kaitlyn dominated. You can see her strength and power in the ring. Kaitlyn hits some impressive moves, but I feared Layla got seriously injured due to a botched spot. Kaitlyn gets too excited in the ring at times where she feels her strength can overcome her inexperience. Layla gets help from AJ Lee on the outside to pick up the win, which further pushes AJ Lee and Kaitlyn's feud. Layla is much better as a heel, but do we really need another Diva heel? We already have The Bellas and AJ Lee.
