Brad Maddox – One Step Down
This will come as a major surprise to those who know me and tune into my VOW shows (when we actually do them), but I don't love Maddox as the new GM. And I'm a HUGE Brad Maddox mark.
With all his charisma and natural ability to entertain, I have lost all hope in WWE authority figures.
Personally, if it's not a McMahon (and that includes Triple H), I don't think anyone should be put in that spot. Not because people aren't capable either — Vickie is perfectly suited for that role — but because those same McMahons won't stay out of the way and actually allow someone do the job effectively.
WWE didn't give us a reason to take Vickie serious in the GM spot; they certainly won't give us one for Maddox.
Brad will make the most of it. He's that talented, but it will ultimately amount to nothing. Vince won't let it. Nor should he with a guy like Maddox, but what's the point of it in the first place? I still wonder why the guy isn't wrestling at this point.
As far as GM's are concerned, I miss Johnny.
