-Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel changed from Axel and Heyman to just Paul Heyman. I was curious as to the change, and we soon found out. I was very surprised to see this segment focus solely on CM Punk, who has not been seen since the week after Wrestlemania. It has been two months for him off of television with few mentions of him. When he comes back, it needs to be HUGE. So, was WWE doing the right thing to book him in a match against Chris Jericho? NO. I hate this and think it will be a horrible mistake if Punk comes out for the fight. Instead, let Punk's music play and have Jericho waiting in the ring. Instead, Heyman walks out and puts Curtis Axel in the match. This would be a huge benefit for Axel and preserves the return of CM Punk. I could care less if the event is in Chicago. It is a "B" Pay Per View that does not need an "A" star's return to the ring.

Grade: B- …. because of the entertaining segment, not the proposed match.

Curtis Axel defeated John Cena by Countout.  For the second straight week, Curtis Axel gets the main event spot on Raw. After beating Triple H a week ago, he comes to face the WWE Champion. I love this booking for a few reasons. If you want to get a young guy over, put him on the fast track to the top. Look what WWE did with Ryback, who squashed guys for three months until an injury forced him to be a main eventer. He was not ready for it, but they are forcing him there right now because of the lack of star power. Anyways, Axel puts on another good match in which he was able to showcase more moves. He hit a Perfect Plex, which got a great pop from the crowd. I love the neckbreaker into a kick to the face. The smooth transition from move to move shows you that he can fight with anyone. He is so smart and knows what to do in the ring. He has the intangables to succeed. Again, he wins because of Ryback distracting Cena. It was predictable. It was logical. It was the right thing to do. It gives more bragging rights to Axel, upsets Cena but does not harm him, and still have focus on Ryback. All in all, it made sense and was logically correct to do.
