Title This: WWE Raw Reaction May 27th, 2013

The Undercard:

Alberto Del Rio defeated Big E Langston in the first match of the night. I was not thrilled about this match, since we have seen them fight twice in the past week. Nonetheless, Ziggler's absence is putting the World Title on hold. Thank God he is returning next week because the feud with Del Rio is completely random and useless. Del Rio always seems to run into these issues when in a championship feud. Big E is slowly and surely getting better and more concise in the ring. He is such a strong guy that most people think he cannot keep up with a more athletic guy like Del Rio. It was not a pretty match, but it did good for both guys. I enjoy the tease with AJ and Big E, the first step to a Langston face turn. I still think it is WAY too soon, especially with so many new characters coming into the WWE. Give it time.

Dean Ambrose defeated Kofi Kingston to retain the United States Championship. Once again, Ambrose shows you why he is the one getting matches time and time again with some of the best WWE has to offer. He has consistently put on great matches against The Undertaker, Kane, Daniel Bryan, and now Kofi Kingston. I specifically love his facial expressions during the match. Another thing I enjoy is his elbow drops. He explodes at the last second, making a simple move look much more effective. His finisher is growing on me. It is more about how the opponent sells it. He can execute it on ANYONE, which is smart for a guy who will not overpower many superstars.

Fandango defeated Wade Barrett with The Miz voted as special guest referee. This match was solely used for the three men to continue their odd, but intriguing, storyline. This should be the best way for Fandango to capture the Intercontinental Championship. You have a face in The Miz and a heel in Wade Barrett who needed more to their feud. They continue it, but an athletic and gimmicky character needed to be inserted. You cannot have heel vs. heel in a PPV match. I like how Summer Rae is being used as well. Everyone is making a point to spotlight her during Fandango matches, trying to get the psychological edge over Fandango. This is something his character needs to improve on.

The Bellas defeated Kailyn and Natalya. It should not be a shocker that Natalya was in a match on Raw, being in Calgary and "Bret Hart Appreciation" night. The match was simply okay, with a few sloppy moves and Nikki and Brie trying to get heat from the crowd. They did, thanks to Natalya being from that area. Here is my biggest question: Will Natalya get an opportunity to fight Kaitlyn? Kaitlyn accidentally spears her, which forces her team to lose. Natalya is much better as a heel Diva. She has the natural instincts of a heel in the ring. She is not flashy, very gritty, and can easily help this division. Will AJ get a title shot? Remember that?
