Batista ReturnBatista Talks WWE Return

Batista via Twitter: "Here's a cryptic message: I'm focused on movies now. No #MMA anytime soon. No #WWE plans either, but not opposed. Hopefully #MyFansSupportMe"

Dave's final year or so in WWE was the best he had, in my opinion. He went out at the top of his game and I can only imagine his limited Hollywood exposure and MMA hype since leaving has served him well.

The question I have is…does a returning Batista get to call the same shots as a guy like The Rock? Or Brock Lesnar? Or even Chris Jericho?

Will Batista return "that" much bigger a star than when he left? To the point he can demand premium dollar for limited dates? I'd argue no at this point. We won't know though until pay per view numbers come back. Unfortunately, for Vince, that doesn't happen until AFTER he's already signed (and paid) Dave.

In reality, how many big-time money matches are even available for Batista? Two? Three? Considering there were really only two men worthy of challenging the Rock — three if you count Taker, four if you count Brock — is Batista really worth a part-time schedule?

Those aren't my decisions to make, but if I were Vince, I'd say he definitely needs more from Batista than he's getting from Brock. Batista should commit to a good three-four months FULL TIME or I'd move on without him.

Don't forget — this is the guy that left because he felt WWE was becoming "too PG" for him. I'm pretty sure that hasn't changed since he's left, and it's probably gotten worse. That tells me Batista isn't really coming back for the "right" reasons.

And Brock has already filled the company role of "guy who's only back for the easy money". WWE doesn't need two of them.
