Title This: WWE Raw Reaction: Slammy Awards Edition

SheamusThe Stories

Ric Flair returned to WWE last night, where he presented John Cena with the Superstar of the Year award. This was voted by the fans, and Cena came out to thank everyone for this honor for a third time. He talked about how great it was to have Ric Flair back in the WWE. Cena gives him the award out of respect, but CM Punk comes out. He begins to talk about the horrible year Cena had, and how great his was. He then focuses his attacks on Ric Flair, and this is where it gets interesting.

CM Punk limps down to the ring, where Flair has challenged him to fight. Flair jabs Punk in the eye, and then locks in the Figure Four on Heyman. When they leave, The Shield make their way through the crowd. We come back from break and Team Hell No joined the fight. While Reigns spears Kane into the barricade, they attack Flair and try to powerbomb him. Ryback comes out to make the save, and The Shield retreats. This was great action from the very beginning, and I felt Flair coming back was a good thing. He still gets a crazy reaction, even after all of his problems and all of the years he has been gone. I loved seeing his return, talking to Punk, and helping the younger guys get over even more. Flair can still be used to help others, much like he did with Evolution. Now, what else can you do with Ric? Does he become GM, a manager, or used sparingly? There are so many options, and I am really hoping they utilize him to his fullest. Grade: A-

-The Big Show comes out to talk about his victory, but Sheamus interrupts. He wanted to congratulate Big Show for being the better man last night, but Show does not accept it. Sheamus spears Big Show and attacks him. This prompts Ziggler to come out to try and cash in. The crowd went insane, but John Cena spoils it. He attacks Dolph before the bell rings. I really wanted Ziggler to cash in here, or even on Smackdown this week. This was the perfect time due to the timing of the show, as well as Dolph not being overtaken by another story. This show needed a jolt of energy, and this would have been perfect. They teased it, did not go through with it, and I think it was a big mistake. It was fun to watch, but now we are all on alert even more, and the element of surprise may be gone. Grade: B
