Randy OrtonThe Undercard Page Two

Randy Orton defeated Brad Maddox. Maddox resurfaces and tries to win a contract, but he faces Orton. This was a typical squash match, with Maddox trying to get some sort of offense in. Orton controlled the pace, hit his usual arsenal of moves, and picked up an easy win after an RKO. After the match, The Shield attacked Orton. This was excellent, once again. I said it on Chair Shot Reality, The Shield should attack a few different people, but not the entire roster like Aces and Eights do. They need to focus on the big names, and this leaves ideas open for Brad Maddox as well. Is he aligned with the three men? Will he be added somehow? There are many questions to be answered, and it continues to draw the intrigue of the casual and hardcore fan. Grade: B-

Antonio Cesaro defeated Kofi Kingston, Wade Barrett, and R-Truth to retain the United States Championship. This was an odd match to make, but I still enjoyed it very much. The pace of the match was solid, with a mixture of rugged offense and athleticism. You can probably tell who was the aggressive type, as Wade and Antonio brawled with Truth and Kofi throughout. I expect two matches to be added to WWE TLC. Kingston continues to impress, with a nice kick to send Cesaro to the outside. Wade and Antonio get into it as well, with both men hitting some clotheslines and side suplexes. I still cannot get enough of the European Uppercut, as Kofi got a great hit to the face courtesy of the US Champion. It was on the outside and certainly picked up the aggression at the right time. Cesaro would end up hitting his finisher onto Kofi for the victory. This does not really harm anyone, and makes both matches still a good possibility. It would be illogical for Wade to win, or for Cesaro to actually pin his opponent in a few weeks. Grade: B+
