Title This: WWE Smackdown Reaction 11-23

John CenaThe Main Event

John Cena started off the show on MizTV, which has started Smackdown a few times recently. I love the fact that a face Miz is now confronting John Cena, but still has his cocky attitude and way of saying things. The Miz is a comedic instigator, and AJ Lee comes out and it just gets more entertaining to me. Dolph Ziggler and Vickie make their way out, as Ziggler bashes both Cena and AJ. Cena makes a comment about Nuts and Vickie and Dolph get upset. This ends a very interesting and entertaining segment. Dolph Ziggler was not done, as he was put into a main event match.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Randy Orton in the main event of the night. Much like their other encounters, both men work extremely well together. The timing of each move, the chemistry, and the overall execution of basic moves really translates into success in the ring. Ziggler slowed down the pace with a headlock, but Orton reversed it and striked with multiple clothesline and a powerslam. The best move was a fantastic jumping DDT that Ziggler connected onto Orton. Ziggler would reverse an RKO attempt, and pick up a rollup victory. I love the fact that Ziggler bascially beat Orton on his own, with no outside interference. If he is going to face Cena, he needs to get victories over top talent so people will buy him potentially beating Cena. John Cena would come out and attack Ziggler. He locked in the STF on Dolph, as he screams for help. This ended Smackdown on an excellent note, as it moved a few stories ahead, and reallyu built it for Raw. Many times we see Smackdown be a throw away show for many of the stories, but it shows tonight that it is essential, especially when trying to give Ziggler the push to the top. I really do like this feud with Cena, and feel like it is only going to help both men evolve even more. Grade: A

Smackdown Grade: B+… Very solid overall, with not many dead spots.
