Wrestlezone’s Top 10: WWE Champions Of All-Time

Number 9: CM Punk

CM Punk

It was more than his current championship reign that puts him here. Ever since the pipe bomb incident occurred in July of 2011, CM Punk has cultivated the WWE. Now, it is cool to be a tweener, battling between face and heel. What Punk does best is wrestle, talk, and adapt to the times. Whether a face or heel, CM Punk has done it all with ease. His best matches have come against John Cena, Daniel Bryan, and even Chris Jericho. At a time where people gripe about the PG Era, Punk has slowly crossed the line at times and made the programming feel edgy. The ratings have fallen, but that is not because of Punk. He has become a guy that does everything right, and will continue to be one of the top guys in the company. One full year as champion tells you that he is doing everything in his power to be the guy that Vince relies on. It looks like he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, and I love that.
