Stars in Progress: Aces & Eights, Cody Rhodes, Sheamus vs Alberto Del Rio

ACES & EIGHTS – ONE STEP UP

Sometimes, the story is about the person behind the mask. Sometimes, people just want to fight.

Mark Madden isn't the only one ripping TNA for the lack of logic in their Aces & Eights story. Sting, Hogan, and the other TNA faithfuls didn't try to unmask the intruders this past week on Impact. Therefore, the angle is RUINED!!!

Or..it's not.

You will always be able to find something wrong in pro wrestling if you look hard enough. Holes in logic are plentiful. That's in everything fictional, not just wrestling. That's why I try to be a bit more understanding in that area.

I've enjoyed the slow burn of the Aces & Eights story. I liked it this past Thursday too, waiting and anticipating some kind of reveal that ultimately didn't happen. I will now tune in next week for the same reason.

With Claire Lynch gone, the ongoing Bound For Glory series, and this umbrella storyline, arguments could be made that Impact Wrestling is the best wrestling show on TV right now. I'm not necessarily making that argument, yet, but I wouldn't try to dispute it too much either.
