What’s NOT Bothering Me: AJ, Former Star Return, New Saturday WWE Show

aj lee#1. AJ’s First Night As General Manager

It’s still too early tell what the ultimate success meter will read when AJ’s run as Raw GM is all said and done, but I must stand tall and corrected for now. I was pleasantly surprised by AJ last Monday. She did very well.

One of the questions I originally had about the decision was if and how her new “crazy” gimmick would translate in an authoritative position. The answer I seemed to receive was that it actually wouldn’t. They immediately tamed down the “crazy” crazy.

And it seems to have worked. She’s still crazy, but at least she’s also competent.

The other natural — and smart — move WWE made to ensure the fans’ acceptance of AJ’s new role, was making her a full-fledged babyface. It’s easier to like her bossing around guys like Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, especially given their history, than it would have been seeing her take a Vickie Guerrero route or similar.

It’s easy to like AJ.

I am curious to see how Kelly Kelly’s rumored full-time return affects AJ’s new spot on top the Diva food chain. Is there room for more than one there? If not, who wins the cat fight that determines who gets it?

It’s easy to like AJ in that one, too.
