Title This: Impact Wrestling Reaction 7-19-12

ImpactWrestlingAfter a two week hiatus, thanks to Cable Providers, I am back with Impact Reactions.

Samoa Joe def. The Pope

What I Liked:

This week's Open Fight Night starts with Joe, who is a front runner in the BFG series. He calls out The Pope, and their match is average. Joe uses his strength and brawling expertise to ground Pope and continue to wear his opponent down. Joe controls most of the action in the ring and continues to assault him without much resistance. This match was average because Pope never got going, Joe controlled throughout, and there was little drama as to who would pick up the victory.

What I Disliked:

The only gripe that I have with the Bound For Glory Series is the length. I understand what they are trying to accomplish, but it is basically a recycling of weaker talent for the more important guys to pick up wins. The wins are less meaningful and less productive in the grand scheme of things. The only drama we get is when we see Anderson vs. Hardy, or two other guys who are at a similar stature in the company.

Robbie E Def. Jeff Hardy via Countout

What I Liked:

This easily could have been an easy victory for Hardy, but Robbie E outsmarted his opponent. The action was pretty solid, but not alot of it. Robbie E needed a victory tonight to give him some sort of credibility.

What I Disliked:

Jeff Hardy needs to add more moves to his arsenal. You get the usual kicks and Whisper in the Wind, and then he is distracted by Rob Terry. I wanted to see more action, as I feel both guys are really being overlooked when it comes to consistent booking. Both men have a lot to offer in many ways, but we are not getting that each week.
