Rob Van DamRob Van Dam def. Gunner

What I Liked:

Before the match, they showed the history between these two guys, which included RVD being taken out by Gunner. I felt the match was solid, showcased the usual offense from RVD, and showed off the brute strength Gunner has. The flow of the match was solid and gave us a chance to see a feud that was forgotten. Good, quick work from both guys. The Five Star Frog Splash looked fantastic, as RVD flew more than half the size of the ring to connect on Gunner.

What I Disliked:

Even though the match did not have any mistakes, there was no bright spots aside from the splash. There was not enough time to really progress the match and make something relevant happen. I wonder if this would have been better to continue a feud and not have a clean win for RVD. Even so, well done to the point where it was not a let down after a joke of a tag team match prior.

Devon def. Garret Bischoff via DQ

What I Liked:

This match was because Garret eliminated Devon from the battle royal. I get that aspect, as well as trying to keep Bischoff interesting. They book him with a veteran who knows the business, which can only help Garret's knowledge increase in the ring. His neckbreaker was solid.

What I Disliked:

I could care less about investing time in either of these guys. Both of them wear track pants to the ring, look very lackluster in the ring, and do not have any real history besides what happened a week ago. Is there a point for Devon to defend the title each week? He is not an up and coming guy who needs to be on TV just to get better in the ring. His feud with Robbie E and T is not the best, but they can benefit more from him than having a guy like Garret save his back. I just scratch my head and want to know why Bischoff needs to be used. Can't you see him turning heel and pairing with Brooke Hogan? Yeah, there is a pairing that has potential!
