Title This: WWE Smackdown Reaction 5-4-12

Sheamus def. Daniel Bryan:

What I Liked:

Picking up from earlier in the night, both guys did a great job at selling the injury, as well as Bryan focusing his sole offensive attacks on Sheamus and his arm. Sheamus was looking very vulnerable, something that his character has not seen in a very long time. He became more complex on Smackdown. There is only so much you can do when you are booked to look strong, so this was very solid for the development of his championship character and reign. This was a solid match with everything from technique and power.

What I Disliked:

Sheamus overcame the odds. Did we really need to see him stand tall to end Smackdown? What was the point of this? I wonder if creative are scared to have him be the underdog at any point because it will devalue the dominance he previously had. He is a face, so he should not be booked as a complete wrecking machine. What a turn of events from the beginning of the show to the end. This, again, would have been a great time with Punk to insert himself and show his face on Smackdown.

Grade: A-

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
