6th Annual Wrestlezone Tournament – Who’s the Best of All Time?

Mike Killam

The 6th Annual Wrestlezone Tournament is officially underway, set to once again determine the greatest professional wrestler of all time! The tournament is the biggest event of the Wrestlezone Forum's year, bringing together the entire community to discuss, debate and vote on unique match-ups, eliminating the undeserved until only one remains. In the past the prestigious honor has gone to Shawn Michaels, the Undertaker, Bret Hart and Steve Austin (twice!), but this year looks to be the most unpredictable yet!

HOW IT WORKS: The forum moderators have put together a list of 128 pro wrestlers throughout the history of the industry, from all around the planet. The wrestlers have been seeded, split into regions and placed into 64 first-round matches, to be "fought" under traditional singles rules, which will be released throughout this week. The winner, to be decided by a vote (or by positive feedback in the event of a tie) will move on to the next round. As the tournament progresses, various stipulations such as Steel Cage or Ladder Match will be thrown into the mix to make the bouts more interesting, until finally we are left with a single winner.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED: The tournament is open to all. To join the discussion all you need is a FREE Wrestlezone Forums account (sign up HERE!).

Whose side will you fight on this year? Can Steve Austin take the prize for his third consecutive year? Will the Undertaker make it past the first round, when he takes on Vince McMahon? How far will Hulk Hogan go, and who wins in a battle between Owen Hart and Eddie Guerrero? Follow the "Forums" tab at the top of your screen, or visit forums.wrestlezone.com to participate!

On the next page I'm going to take a look at some of the first round match-ups, make a few predictions, analyze some dark horses and provide some insight into how this year's tournament might go!
