Lord Tensai – One Step Up

Call me a sucker, but I'm intrigued by this. Seriously.

First of all, it's an interesting development when you consider the facts. Vince wanted a youth movement not too long ago. He wasn't going to hire anyone over the age of 30. Rare exceptions would have applied when needed. I can't imagine A-Train qualified then OR now.

With the changes to the developmental system already ongoing and more to come, the idea of bringing back a guy like Matt Bloom seems a bit contradicting to what the overall goal for the company and its stars should be.

All that said, I'm looking forward to Matt's return. I was always a fan of his, mainly due to his look and strength. He was unique. WWE can always use more of that.

Bloom is HUGE in Japan. But that means absolutely nothing to WWE fans. Will fans remember him? It's been nearly eight years since he's been on WWE television. I think a small percentage will remember him well, some will remember him vaguely, and others won't have a clue. Won't matter though.

Rumor has it Lord Tensai might work with Cena after WrestleMania. If you don't know who he is now, you certainly will soon if that's the case. I find it more interesting that Vince would even want to pair him with Cena first. He won't go over in an actual match, so is he just being brought back as meat for Cena? Isn't there others already on the roster capable of continuing that trend?

Maybe he will go over in an actual match!  Now, THAT would be wild…
