Brian Knobbs By Way Of New Jack's Fist
One Step Down…Literally
I called New Jack two days ago. As soon as he answered the phone, he immediately began laughing. He knew why I was calling.
New Jack's explanation of what happened between him and Brian Knobbs at a recent independent show seemed to mirror exactly what Justin LaBar reported on WZ. I probably got the exaggerated, sensationalized version, but I could read between the lines.
It's been a long time coming for Knobbs. Several people have told me that. According to them, Knobbs is a loud, often drunk, obnoxious character. He has no filter. He has this air of constant cockiness, as if his buddy Hulk Hogan is standing next to him in a room ALL the time.
Less than a full day after his untimely death, Knobbs was already mocking Randy Savage at a CWI event in Canada. Joke or no joke, it was tasteless and unacceptable. He should have been knocked out then. There were several wrestlers that wanted to.
The only thing that would have made this situation absolutely perfect is if it had been Kharma — the WWE Diva — that punched Knobbs, instead of New Jack. I believe they'd call that irony, right?
Kudos to New Jack for making headlines, as only he can, and doing something that seemingly needed to be done a long time ago.
