Title This: WWE Smackdown Reaction 2-17

WWE SmackdownRandy Orton is backstage and Teddy Long says he cannot compete tonight or Sunday due to his concussion.

The Great Khali and The Big Show def. Cody Rhodes and Wade Barrett:

What I Liked:

It made sense to have these four fight, as Elimination Chamber is a few days away. Cody and Wade surprisingly continue to work well together, as they gel and mix their offensive sets together.

What I Disliked:

The way the match ended. Come on, Big Show barely fights, you rely on Khali to carry the match, and you let Rhodes and Barrett lose AGAIN? The match was slow, lackluster, and developed nothing. Big Show should have knocked everyone out at the end to make a statement, or even have Barrett and Rhodes pick up a victory, but not get the last laugh. I can't take any more garbage Khali matches where guys try to take over with their speed compared to his size. It is not believable. Bad way to start off Smackdown.

Grade: C-

Long is backstage and Mark Henry walks in. He says he wants his spot back, but The Big Show comes in and talks about wanting to face Daniel Bryan tonight. Teddy Long does not give him an answer, and Show punches Henry for arguing. Big Show rips apart Long's office and yells to give him what he wants. I loved this from Big Show. He needs to be more physical, aggressive, and mean. He can still be a face, but I have had enough of his smiles and waving to the crowd. Great acting by Show here, great punch, and ends in suspense.

Grade: A

Hunico def. Ted DiBiase:

What I Liked:

Two guys get some TV time, as Hunico needs it much more at this point. The match was okay, nothing amazing. Hunico needed to win here, because what would be the point if he lost again to DiBiase? I feel  like Hunico and Camacho could tag and make an interesting pairing if there was a need to a heel tag team.

What I Disliked:

I feel like I keep repeating myself, but without a Cruiserweight title, Hunico will continue to be stuck in a lower card feud. He has nowhere to currently go. DiBiase could compete for the IC title in the future, but his characteristics are boring and bland. There is a reason why Cody surpassed him. Rhodes is better in the ring and has a better way to acting and progressing whatever character he gets. Ted, in my eyes, still has a chance to break through. He just needs to be repackaged. Give him his Million Dollar persona again, let him work in the shadows of his father like others have done to get recognized. I want Ted to succeed, but him and the creative writers need to give him some meaningful feud.

Grade: D (The match was irrelavant. Seen it for two months with no progression)
