What’s Not Bothering Me?: Miz Heat, Austin/WM, Shaq/Big Show

#1. Miz Takes The Heat

The MizI've seen the comments. I've read and heard the "expert" analysis. I know and understand both sides of the argument.

Should Miz be given shit for his failure to catch R-Truth properly on Raw Monday when Truth blindly flipped over the top rope, only to land back first onto the lightly matted canvas with absolutely no resistance or support — ALL of which could have been avoided had Miz NOT jumped out of the way at the last second as if Truth was covered in Anthrax?

Yes, he should.

Miz deserves the blame he's receiving; it was HIS fault. Mistake or not, Miz isn't some spring chicken in the wrestling business. He understands the importance of every move (especially high-risk ones) and being in the right spot ALL the time. When you're not, it's serious.

While Miz getting blame and "some" heat for this particular situation doesn't bother me, it will if it doesn't end there. He can't be defined forever by one mistake. I'm pretty sure Owen Hart wasn't.

Will this mistake cost Miz a WrestleMania spot as some suggest? I hope not. If Miz isn't on WrestleMania, or his career takes a drastic turn for the worse, it SHOULD be because Vince and the decision makers he surrounds himself with have other reasons to believe there's more money to be made without Miz in that position. It shouldn't be due to some sort of punishment for this one incident.

If Vince went that far with discipline all the time, every WrestleMania would have consisted of nothing but Shawn Michaels matches. You know…because HBK NEVER made mistakes!

Only somewhat kidding, people.
