Title This: 2011 WWE TLC PPV Reaction

Booker T makes his entrance, but Rhodes attacks again. The match does not go on at this point.

Triple H Def. Kevin Nash in a Sledgehammer Ladder Match:

What I Liked:

We knew that there was not going to be a lot of high flying and a typical Ladder match moves pulled out here. I enjoyed the physicality between the two guys. Nash looked just okay, but seemed to be slow in his transition into the next move. Triple H carried the match, and the outside fighting proved to work out well for these guys. The ending was nice, with Nash wanted the Kliq hand signal, and Triple H with the DX sign before putting him out. Very good usage of friendship turned hatred. Nash’s bump was surprising, landing through the table off the Ladder, and hit perfectly.

What I Disliked:

Kevin Nash did not get much of a reaction, and I felt like there was no care for this match from the crowd. We all knew the outcome, and knew that this match would slow down the pace of the show. The match was sluggish, did not build well to create a suspenseful finish, and ended up being forgettable. I appreciate Nash and Triple H for their talents, but a bigger stage would help and a better storyline.

Grade: C

Matt Striker inteviews CM Punk. John Laurinitis comes in and wishes Punk luck on retaining. Punk says luck is for losers and leaves. I like seeing Laurinitis only once and quickly, but Punk should have focused this segment on building the match, not his feud with Laurinitis.

Sheamus Def. Jack Swagger:

What I Liked:

A solid slugfest between two big yet athletic men. Sheamus and Swagger are two guys without feuds, and this match did not have relevance but was a decent filler to have these guys seen on PPV. Sheamus carried the bulk of the offense in a match where he needed to continue his streak if they want him in the main title picture soon.

What I Disliked:

The length of the match was short, and I feel like they could have done more with these two stars. There was a great opportunity for Kane to appear and cause destruction, or have SOMETHING happen here. I was hoping for much more than a basic 1-on-1 match, but that is what we got and nothing else. The match did not have any great rememberance to it, but was not bad either. A middle of the road match that was just to fill time.
