What’s Not Bothering Me? Kane Resurrected, Hardy, Cena/Raw

Jeff Hardy#3. Jeff Hardy – Number One Contender

Jeff Hardy is the most over guy in TNA, period. Sad fact, but it's true. He has now been named the new number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship and it doesn't bother me a bit.

Eric Bischoff says Jeff Hardy has "taken responsibility" and "changed his life" – it's hard to argue when Bischoff is there to witness it firsthand. I'll still argue that it's too early to tell. Most kids that get in trouble with their parents do one of three things with their second chance:

1) They actually "change" and take advantage of the second chance by never making the same mistake again.

2) They keep their nose clean just long enough and then, right when they regain your trust, they screw it all up again.

3) They find ways to keep doing what they want to do and simply hide it better.

Let's hope Jeff Hardy truly has chosen the first option as Bischoff suggests. He's too talented. More importantly, he has too many supporters longing to see him do well.

All that being said, it's not too early for TNA to put him in the title picture. He won't win anytime soon as even Dixie Carter isn't that naive. You can't trust him yet with your World title, but can he help put over the stars that you can trust? Better than anyone else on that roster.
