Dolph Ziggler In Two PPV Matches Again

One Step Up

Dolph ZigglerI thought it was a great idea the first time around and it's a great idea again. Dolph Ziggler will ultimately lose the U.S. title to Zack Ryder, but that was going to have to happen sometime. He's being primed for something bigger and I'm fine with that.

I'm afraid that WWE will use this as an excuse to make him look weaker in at least one of the matches. If he's truly a candidate for "future big star", then take advantage of these opportunities. Why not let him win both matches? That would be something!

Think about it like being the first man to enter the Rumble and still winning. That's supposed to be a big deal. Well, two matches in one night are is a unique enough concept to be big as well. Shawn Michaels would pull off victories in both matches and make it look easy! He was a superstar in the ring.

No, I'm not saying Dolph is Shawn Michaels between the ropes, but the logic still applies. If you want fans to perceive Dolph as a potential superstar, treat him as such. "Don't dress for the job you have. Dress for the job you want." I'm not sure if that quote applies here exactly, but it seems to make sense to me. And I just like the quote.
