Ted DiBiase

One Step To The Side

I'm happy WWE is doing "something" with Ted DiBiase. He's picked up a couple wins lately and seems to be on track for some sort of relevant push, although I don't expect it will make up for everything. It will probably have that "too little, too late" feel to it.

I give him one step to the side because although he's winning, the victories aren't helping people take him serious. He basically squashed Jinder Mahal. Yes, it's only Jinder Mahal, but it's not believable. DiBiase shouldn't be squashing anyone. He doesn't have the size or attitude to back that up.

I've got an idea! Put DiBiase in some sort of meaningful, mid-card program with someone of relative importance and let them go. It "could have" been with Cody Rhodes several months ago, but that would just bring Rhodes down now. What about Daniel Bryan? There's a guy that could use the push too and although Bryan would need to go over in the end, DiBiase could gain from the program too, just by being apart of it.

Call me crazy, but I'm a fan of Ted DiBiase. But even I'm not naive enough to think that him winning a few squash matches is enough. He needs to be placed in stories that have at least a modicum of credibility and value. Otherwise, I won't be talking about him at all again before you know it.
