What’s Bothering Me? (In Professional Wrestling)

#2. Screwjob Finishes on Major PPV's

I have talked ad nauseam about my disappointment for TNA's Bound For Glory pay per view last Sunday.  I have given plenty explanation as to why I felt that way as well, but I think this needs to be brought up again.  Screwy, gimmicky, controversial finishes do not belong in the main events of your biggest pay per views of the year.

If and when they do work, it has to be special.  For it to have that effect, it needs to RARELY happen and when it does, the results and aftermath need to benefit someone GREATLY.  The finish to the Angle/Roode match did no one any good.  It wouldn't have helped Roode or Angle significantly even if TNA didn't change directions and go with Storm as Champion the following week.

For selfish reasons, as a paying customer toward these pay per views month in and month out, that's not what I should be receiving for my money either.  I would imagine that I'm not the only wrestling fan that feels this way.

Both WWE and TNA have creative teams.  Let them be "creative" and find clean finishes that work for their pay per view main events.
