WrestleZone’s Top Ten: WWE Vengeance Matches

Number 8: Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar vs. The Big Show for the WWE Championship: Denver, Colorado, 2003

The best technical wrestler, the largest athlete in the world, and the next big star in the WWE squared off in a Triple Threat match in 2003. Denver, Colorado held Lesnar, the current WWE Champion, having to fend off The Big Show and Kurt Angle. The feud focused around Lesnar and Angle, until Show came into the fold. With Show being crashed through the Spanish announcer's table, it was between Lesnar and Angle. Technicality, seizing power in the ring, and a real struggle gave them a great 7 minutes as Show was out. The finish came when Angle hit two Olympic Slams, one on Show, and one on Lesnar. Angle would capture the WWE Championship on a July night, once again becoming the face of Smackdown. So many facets made this match very solid from beginning to end, but it was the spots throughout the match that made it complete.
