Stars In Progress…Henry/Big Show, Samoa Joe, Hardy & More

Smackdown This Week

One Step (Sister) Down

I will be getting to Raw in just a few minutes, but Smackdown was collateral damage this week and took a step down as a result.  Outside of Big Show and Mark Henry's segment, the entire Smackdown broadcast seemed to revolve around what transpired on Monday night.

I understand why.  That is a MAJOR angle in WWE, but I hate the fact that they treat Smackdown so second-rate compared to Raw.  If the entire roster (almost, I know) walked out on Triple H as COO of Raw, why would they be willing to show up on Smackdown and work?  He is the COO of that show too!

I digress.  I know that a big part of the WWE audience does not watch Smackdown.  It's difficult to carry your main storyline over to that show, so what they did this week on Smackdown was probably the most reasonable thing to do.

That being said, a couple of mentions and highlight videos about Raw would have sufficed.  There are other stories being told right now that WWE needs to continue developing and they all seemed a bit diluted due to all the coverage and mentions about Raw.  Kudos to at least giving Big Show and Mark Henry the proper amount of time and focus this week, but the rest of the show suffered overall.
