Title This: WWE Monday Night Raw Reaction 10-3-2011

Opening Segment: Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre:

What I Liked:

The physicality of the match was refreshing. I also enjoyed an actual match to start off Raw. It was a good change of pace, but I do not get the matchup. I am high on Drew, but he was out of place. We have not seen him in months, but I did personally like it. He had some great offensive moves, such as the snap suplex that always looks good. Orton looking a little sluggish gives us the illusion of how much he was hurt a night ago.

What I Disliked:

Randy Orton starting off Raw. He was not the focal point coming off Hell in a Cell, but I assume we just see him early to remember what happened on the Smackdown end of things Sunday night. Having Mark Henry come out to attack Orton was just repetitive to me. He continues to be the champion, but maybe they need to do more with him and Orton. Have something personal involved, not just both men brawling at one another each show. Where is the creativity with a storyline? It needs a slight change heading into another pay per view in 3 weeks.

Grade of Match: B

Mark Henry vs. John Morrison:

What I Liked:

Having Morrison hit his arsenal of moves also showed the lack of energy from Henry. He overcomes a flurry of athleticism. I also enjoyed the quick show of Henry without wasting too much time. I also feel that Henry should have started Raw if they want him to be seen as more important than Randy Orton. He deserves some more credit, if they want him to be the World Champion.

What I Disliked:

Interesting matchup between two guys at two different ends of the spectrum. You have Drew and Morrison in matches because the main stars are in a 12 man tag match. There are pluses and minuses, as we see Drew, but we see Morrison basically have a four minute match and lose…again. You mix two completely different in ring abilities, but it was not horrible, just not timed out right. It was not fluent and had no progression to it.

Grade of Match: C
