Nick’s 6/15 Edition of “The Not News of the Week!”

1. Chris Jericho walks to the ring at a house show with the Women’s Championship instead of the Intercontinental Championship.

Wow, Vince must have soured so much on the women’s division that he’s actually having men defend the title at WWE events. If Mike Knox defends the women’s title next how many people in the cheap seats are going to think Chyna has returned to the company?

2. John Cena’s “12 Rounds” film dropped to ninth place in the second week of its release in Great Britain.

What were the films that were above “12 Rounds” this week? Every other movie ever made.

3. The New York Daily News recently wrote an article taking a look at Tommy Dreamer’s long awaited ECW Title win at WWE’s Extreme Rules PPV last Sunday.

A nice article by a truly shitty newspaper. The New York Daily News is a half step up from The New York Post, which is essentially a smut publication. Here’s some ideas for headlines that The Daily News would probably stoop to the level of actually using:

“The Washington Nationals send two batters to the plate just to see what happens.”

“Kid strikes out while playing a game of T-ball.”

On Ike Turner’s death: “Ike Beats Tina to Death.”

4. WWE might be changing the name “Hell in a Cell” to coincide with its new PG product rating.

Christ, what’s next, are they gonna change “First Blood” to “The Winner is the First to Give the Other Guy a Boo-Boo” Match?
