Nick’s 12/28 Raw Review: The Good, The Bad & The Wrestling

I also really liked how the Vince McMahon address was layered. It wasn’t just Vince coming out and addressing the Bret Hart situation, but it also furthered the tease of a possible rematch between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. Of course HBK will have to get involved in the Bret Hart story line (assuming there is one) in some fashion, but it was cool to see him come out with a different agenda than we all thought.

The jury is still out I suppose as to whether or not Bret will be making a one time appearance for WWE on Raw next week, or if this is going to be a weekly stint for him. He’s obviously not going to be the guest host of the show every week, as WWE has announced future guest hosts already, but maybe he’ll just continue making appearances to work some sort of a story line with Vince or Michaels.

But if Bret’s appearance on Raw next week is indeed only a one night deal, then it was good to see HBK come out and hype something that goes beyond Bret’s appearance on Raw, and leads us all the way into WrestleMania.

To me, the idea of seeing a rematch between HBK and The Undertaker is almost as intriguing as the return of Bret Hart, as this time around HBK really has a shot at beating The Dead Man. I’m not sure WWE would book Michaels to lose two straight WrestleMania matches to The Undertaker, and if anyone is going to end Taker’s streak I’d say WWE would give HBK that honor. Personally, I’d like to see an up-and-comer beat The Undertaker as it could give him a massive push, whereas HBK clearly won’t benefit from a victory over The Undertaker from a push stand point.
