Teflon, No Accountability

Mark Madden

I do a lot of columns that say TNA stinks, but there’s a reason for that. TNA stinks, and the best thing to do business-wise would be fold the company.

That’s NOT what I’m rooting for. The more jobs there are for the boys, the better. Anyway, the money mark won’t even fire TNA’s more useless performers no matter what they’ve done to not build the company, so TNA isn’t going away until Dixie’s broke or daddy takes a closer look.

But the new Monday Night War lasted about as long as France vs. Germany, and France showed more guts. How do you give up after just two months?

Actually, it’s pretty easy if you never had much faith in the idea in the first place, and if Rob Van Dam is world champ. Nice little mid-card performer, yes…but world champ? I wonder what Ric Flair was thinking when Van Dam’s first interview as world champ eschewed talk about the glory of the title, focusing instead on getting high?

TNA should stand for Teflon, No Accountability. To wit:

*Whatever Eric Bischoff had, he hasn’t got anymore.

*Whatever Vince Russo never had, he still hasn’t got.

*Hulk Hogan has nothing left. Absolutely zilch.

These are the guys in charge, right? There’s no talk of them no longer being in charge, right? Despite a whirlpool of red ink and zero progress, there’s no discussion of a management shakeup, right?

Teflon, No Accountability.
