2011 WWE Draft – Exclusive In-Depth Analysis, Pt. 2

CM Punk back to Smackdown

Could Punk be joining Orton on Fridays?

Cash: For the same reason I think Bryan and Sheamus need to separate, I think Punk stays on Raw to get away from Orton.  Punk just came from Smackdown last year and there’s still plenty for him to do on Raw.

I see them trying to break Punk away from Nexus already, so leave him on Raw and let that story unfold.  Punk is excellent as a cult leader, but is equally good by himself.

LaBar: Punk and Orton do need to be separate. I have Orton going to Smackdown and as I said earlier, Punk & Nexus stay on RAW.

Paglino: I feel the same way about Punk as I do Sheamus. It feels like he just came over to Raw and hasn’t covered enough ground on Monday night to suddenly shift back to Friday nights. If he does move to Smackdown, it will undoubtedly feel like a demotion, and Punk does not need that right now as he’s one of WWE’s top heels.

Personally, I like him a lot more in Nexus than I do Wade Barrett in The Corre, so I think WWE should focus its attention on making Punk and Nexus a dominant force on Raw.
