Watch The New 15-Second Teaser Trailer For The X-Files

In just over six months, The X-Files will return to Fox for a six-episode miniseries. In the meantime, get ready for a lot of teaser trailers!

To start an early promotional push for The X-Files, Fox aired a very brief 15-second teaser trailer during tonight’s episode of Wayward Pines. The new teaser tells us next to nothing about the new episodes, but we do get our best glimpse yet of David Duchovny as Fox Mulder and Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully.

 

 

And whose heart didn’t jump a little when the classic “The Truth is Out There” poster came on screen?

The original TV incarnation of The X-Files debuted in 1993 and run for nine seasons before concluding in 2002. The series spawned two feature films that ultimately left The X-Files’ storyline unresolved. Remember, there was supposed to be an alien colonization in 2012.

Joining Duchovny and Anderson for the revival Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner and William B. Davis as the Cigarette-Smoking Man despite his apparent demise in the series finale,

The X-Files miniseries will premiere on Fox after the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, January 24. A new episode will follow on Monday, January 25, as The X-Files settles into its regular time-slot.
