STARZ has announced that Ash Williams and the Evil Dead making a comeback on TV.

Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi are reuniting for “Ash. Vs. Evil Dead.” a ten episode series coming to STARZ. The series will be a continuation of the first two Evil Dead films and Army of Darkness, which featured Campbell as Ashley “The Chosen One” Williams. According to the series description, “Ash Vs. Evil Dead” takes place 30 years after Ash’s last cinematic adventure (not taking into account his cameo in the Evil Dead remake) as he has apparently become a “stockboy, [an] aging lothario and [a] chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead.”

The description notes that Ash gets back into action after the Deadites return to plague humanity.

Raimi’s production partner, Rob Tapert will also serve as an executive producer on the project. The pilot script was written by Raimi, Ivan Raimi and Tom Spezialy.
