Adrianne Palicki Is Mockingbird on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

Back in 2011, Adrianne Palicki was cast as Wonder Woman in the infamous David E. Kelley pilot that was rejected by NBC. But three years later, Palicki will finally get her chance to play a superheroine.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Palicki has been cast a Bobbi Morse aka Mockingbird for the second season of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” this fall. Palicki will make her first appearance in the fifth episode of the season with a possibility to recur throughout the season.

Created in 1971 by Gerry Conway and Barry Windsor Smith, Bobbi Morse was originally created as a Ka-Zar supporting character before she was established as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. In 1980, Morse was reimagined as the superheroine known as Mockingbird and she went on to become a member of The Avengers and the wife of Hawkeye.

Aside from her near Wonder Woman experience, Palicki is best known for co-starring in “Friday Night Lights” and G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Palicki had a recurring role on the first season of NBC’s “About a Boy” and she also had a supporting role in the unaired “Aquaman” pilot.
