It is not uncommon for life to imitate art. Recently, an old woman did her best impression of the classic "Mrs. Doubtfire" run-by fruiting scene when she used mangoes to fight off a couple of gun-wielding robbers at a small market in New Bedford, Mass. Last Friday, at around 1:30 p.m. at the Continental Market on Sawyer Street, two men approached the cashier and owner, Maria Duarte, and threatened her at gunpoint. They demanded she empty the cash register, but didn't anticipate that there was an unlikely superhero lurking nearby.
