It was reiterated this week by the creator of the GIF, Steve Wilhite, that the "G" in GIFs is supposed to be pronounced like a "J." Well I'll be damned if I give up on my hilarious "GIFs are gifts" puns just because the creator of the GIF declared that we are supposed to use a soft "G."
