Drake Gears Up For A Busy Festival Season Of Performances

Our fave hometown rapper Drake has a busy festival circuit ahead of him – not only will he be headlining Coachella in April but he will also be one of the featured performers at New York’s Governors Ball in June.

At Coachella, Drake will be joined by AC/DC as well as Jack White for the main acts, along with Interpol, David Guetta, and Florence + the Machine.

Meanwhile, from June 5-7, Drake will perform in New York City at the 5th annual Governors Ball – musicians like the Black Keys, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Lana Del Rey, Bjork, Deadmau5, Florence + the Machine, Charli XCX, My Morning Jacket, and Ryan Adams will all be there too.

Tickets for both of these popular events go on sale today.

Drake, who always seems to be dabbling in one thing or another, is gearing up for his fifth studio album release, Views From the 6, however a concrete release date has yet to be disclosed. He wrapped up two tours in ’14 – his headlining tour “Would You like a Tour?” came to a close, as did the “Drake Vs. Lil Wayne” co-headlining tour. He also had great reception after his “SNL” appearance and performance last year along with a cameo in the flick “Think Like a Man Too.”
