Giorgio Moroder Recruits Sia, Britney Spears, Mikky Ekko For First Album In 30 Years

A new generation of music lovers got a crash-course in Giorgio Moroder’s work last year through his contributions to Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories album, and now the producer/DJ/songwriter is capitalizing on the momentum with a new album – his first in 30 years.

The new Giorgio Moroder album is expected out in Spring of 2015 via RCA, and will feature contributions from Charli XCX, Sia, Britney Spears, Mikky Ekko and Kylie Minogue, among others. The lead single “74 Is The New 24,” and accompanying video directed by Jai Lewis, is now available. A neon rhino smashing shit up? We’re in.

“Dance music doesn’t care where you live,” the producer said in a press release. “It doesn’t care who your friends are. It doesn’t care how much money you make. It doesn’t care if your 74 or if you are 24 because … 74 is the new 24!”
