Hopefully camping is on your list of options, because baking in a tent on the polo fields of Indio looks like the only way to keep from breaking the bank this year.
Prices for lodging near Coachella have skyrocketed in recent years, with the local economy cashing in massively on the annual event, which has stretched to two weekends. But with hotel options hitting rates of $300/night minimum well before tickets go on sale, we’ve hit a breaking point of access for people looking for a cost-reasonable festival weekend.
